Labor Day through Sept 14th

Jason's mom came out for Labor Day weekend and we had a fantastic time climbing Grays and Torreys with some people from our small group. Grays and Torreys are two mountains over 14,000 feet that you can climb in one morning because of how close they are together. It was great fun and we loved having Sue out here with us - not only to do that and hike a bit in our favorite foothills open space, but to visit a tea factory and western art museum, play games, make and eat yummy food, and just catch up in general. Thanks for coming out Mom!

This last week we were checking off some more items on our work list of "to-do's" and we are excited as we see the backed-up list getting shorter. It allows us to more fully look to the upcoming trip to the Dominican Republic and means that more people, groups, organizations, and churches will have access to our findings in previous surveys. Our Guatemala Survey Report should be published on the web soon - we'll let you know when it gets posted! Pray for us as we prepare for the D.R. and try to wisely plan and maximize the limited time we have in country.

This next week we have good friends, Mike and Cayley, coming in from Iowa for the week to help us get some much needed home repairs and projects done. We're excited to see them, their kiddo Lucy, and to get to some of that list that needs to happen before the winter comes but we just haven't had the time or know-how to do by ourselves. Pray for good weather and fast work! We found home repair projects always take way longer to do than we hope but we are eager to get as much done as possible!

September 8th is Jason's Birthday!

On the 14th we are excited to get to share at one of the few Deaf churches in the area, which happens to be just across the street from our home church. They were very welcoming to us when we visited a couple weeks ago and when they found out what we do, they invited us to come back and share on a future Sunday. They put the announcement out to the Denver area Deaf community - pray that we would be well prepared, effectively communicate, and that God would bring the right people to the service! Wouldn't it be awesome if through just an hour of sharing God would touch some Deaf people's hearts to serve Him in ministry!

Yeah, it was fun to be there! Hope you had fun blowing out a ton of candles :). Glad the house projects are going great. How's the shed looking?? Any hammers on the fingers yet? Praying for you. Thanks Mike and Caley and Lucy for your help?
