Merry Christmas from the Parks' Family!
We're enjoying mild temperatures in our home town of Longmont and driving 45 minutes up into the Rocky Mountains to go snowshoeing in the Indian Peaks Wilderness!
Peluche loves off-leashing with his new backpack in the snow! He wasn't so sure about the backpack at first but he forgot all about it once he could bulldoze his way through the drifts. We didn't capture a picture of it, but by half-way through our hike he was looking quite festive with massive softball sized snowball "ornaments" hanging from his haunches :)!
Enjoy the final days of 2010 and may we soon see the event we sing for:
Come, thou long-expected Jesus,
born to set thy people free;
from our fears and sins release us,
let us find our rest in thee.
Israel's strength and consolation,
hope of all the earth thou art:
dear desire of every nation,
joy of every longing heart.
Born thy people to deliver,
born a child, and yet a king,
born to reign in us for ever,
now thy gracious kingdom bring.
By thine own eternal Spirit
rule in all our hearts alone;
by thine all-sufficient merit
raise us to thy glorious throne.
