2 days in...

It's always a whirlwind at the beginning, and this trip has been no different. What is a bit different is our level of exhaustion after only 48 hours. We've not been sleeping the best, although for no obvious physical reason as we have AC and firm beds and the hotel has been quiet. But this trip seems to be more of a struggle in ways that can't easily be explained right now. At any rate, we'd appreciate your prayers and support. We know that if God is for us (and we believe He is!), we can be more than conquerors.

On a purely external level, things are going very well. We found a trustworthy and kind taxi driver after our 3rd attempt here in the city and we are thankful to have him to call. We have remained healthy and don't take that for granted. We have a very long and productive set of meetings from 9-5 today and have lots of needed language data - all on day 2! And people have welcomed us and the national deaf association has wholeheartedly supported and backed us in this work. For all this we are very thankful!
